SAMBA: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Samba, Rajesh Sharma, conducted a detailed review of ongoing Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) projects today.
The meeting focused on key components such as tubewell drilling, installation of electro-mechanical equipment, construction of Overhead Tanks (OHTs), and filtration plants to ensure clean and reliable water access for all.
The DDC stressed the importance of timely completion of these tasks and directed concerned officials to accelerate efforts.
He instructed departments to address pending issues urgently and ensure Har Ghar Jal certification for villages marked 100% covered on the portal. Specific timelines were set for completing the allotment of tubewells for WSS Pacholi and Rajpura Khollav, finalizing pump rooms for operational tubewells within two weeks, and installing machinery for left-out schemes promptly.
The meeting, attended by XEN PHE Samba, project managers, and other officials, reinforced the administration’s commitment to achieving universal water access in a time-bound manner.
