REASI: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi Nidhi Malik on Friday took a detailed review of banking services here at a meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC).
Assessing the disbursement against different credit linked government schemes, the DDC asked the banks to work on improving the low Credit-Deposit Ratio. She also encouraged banks to extend banking services to far off and remote places to increase financial inclusion.
The DDC took stock of flow of credit to the priority sector, key indicators of banks and their achievements. She pushed for giving special emphasis on sectors like renewable energy and building social infrastructure.
She directed all the banks to take effective measures for encouraging small lending especially in Agriculture, Education and employment sectors so that the majority of the population was benefited under various schemes.
The meeting was attended by CPO Narinder Kumar, Lead District Manager GM Wani, J&K bank Cluster Head, CAO, CHO, AD Employment and representatives of various banks.
