DDC reviews implementation of RDD Sector schemes in District Reasi

REASI:  District Development Commissioner (DDC) Nidhi Malik, convened a meeting today to review the progress of the Rural Development Department (RDD) sector in the District. The review focused on major initiatives such as MGNREGA, the CAPEX budget, PMAY-G and the ADF.

The DDC emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and transparency in the execution of the projects. She instructed all Block Development Officers (BDOs) to closely monitor the ongoing development works and ensure strict adherence to quality standards.

Stressing on field presence, she asked BDOs to survey the PMAY-G beneficiaries to confirm their genuineness. “This will ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the rightful beneficiaries” she added.  

The DDC further directed BDOs to take proactive steps for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in their respective offices and surroundings. She emphasized the need for action against the burning of waste, which poses a serious environmental hazard. 

Additionally, the BDOs were instructed to submit weekly reports, outlining compliance with these directives and detailing the measures taken to uphold sanitation and quality standards.

The review meeting underscored the district administration’s commitment to ensuring transparent and efficient implementation of rural development programs. 

The meeting was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, CPO Narinder Kumar, ACD Pardeep Kumar, BDOs and other concerned officials.
