DDC Reasi reviews implementation of Self-Employment Schemes, approves new cases

REASI: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, convened a comprehensive meeting today to review and expedite the sanctioning of cases under various self-employment schemes.

The meeting aimed to bolster the local economy by empowering unemployed youth and aspiring entrepreneurs through financial and logistical support.

DDC emphasized the critical role of self-employment in promoting economic growth and reducing unemployment in the district. He urged the concerned departments to ensure the timely processing and disbursement of funds to beneficiaries under schemes such as the  Mumkin, Tejaswini, HADP, PMFME and other self-employment oriented initiatives.

During the meeting, the DDC reviewed the progress of previously sanctioned cases and directed officials to address any bottlenecks hindering the timely approval and disbursement of new cases. He stressed the importance of efficiency in these processes to maximize the benefits to the local community.

Significantly, the DDC approved 22 cases under the Mumkin scheme and 17 cases under the Tejaswini scheme during the meeting. He instructed the bankers to expedite the processing of pending cases and to share detailed updates on their progress.

Speaking during the meeting, DDC instructed AD Employment Rekha Bali to organize the event, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in promoting economic growth and reducing unemployment in the district. The DDC directed all relevant departments to participate by setting up stalls at the event, showcasing their respective schemes and support services.

Additionally, he highlighted the significance of monitoring and evaluation, instructing concerned officials to conduct regular follow-ups with beneficiaries to assess the impact of the schemes.

Joint Director CPO Narinder Kumar, CAO Harbans Singh, Chief Horticulture Officer, AD Employment, Cluster Head JK Bank, DDM NABARD and other officers were present.
