National level beneficiary oriented campaign receives overwhelming public response
POONCH: The Government of India, with participation of States and Union Territories, is actively engaged in the mission of saturation through its flagship schemes for providing basic amenities like sanitation facilities, essential financial services, access to LPG connections, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable healthcare, clean drinking water, quality education etc. and making required services accessible to all targeted and eligible beneficiaries.
With this aim, a nationwide campaign to raise awareness through outreach activities named “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra”, is being Observed to achieve saturation of these schemes.
The Yatra launched on 15th November, 2023 on Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, by flagging off IEC (Information, Education and Communication) Vans which will be initially visit the districts having significant Scheduled Tribe population and the remaining districts from third week of November 2023 onwards up to 26 January 2024.
In this league, District Development Commissioner Poonch Yasin M. Choudhary launched VBSY at Panchayat Harni of Tehsil Mendhar district Poonch. The District development Commissioner was welcomed by the Sarpanch Wasim Khan and all the PRI Members of the Panchayat Harni.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Camp was organised at GHSS Harni for the Panchayat Halqas of Galutha Central and Harni of Block Mendhar.
ADDC Poonch Sandesh Kumar Sharma kickstarted VBSY in Arigam in block Loran and ADC Tahir Mustafa malik went to Mastandhara Surankote for inaugurating the event.
The officials from all the Departments like Agriculture, Education, Health , PHE, JJM, Social Welfare, District Child Protection Unit, Horticulture, PDD, CAPD, Handloom along with representatives from other line departments, actively participated in the event. At the event, the villagers were comprehensively briefed on an array of beneficiary-oriented schemes meticulously crafted to uplift and improve the quality of their lives.
The camp also focused on Jal Jeevan Mission initiatives, offering guidance and support to mitigate water-related challenges in the region. One of the aspects of the event was the provision of direct beneficiary-oriented benefits to the villagers on the spot.
Throughout the program the departments disseminated informative pamphlets and also provided on the spot rectification/registration of welfare schemes to the participants.
The participants Deputy Commissioner also inspected the Camps being organised at the event and made people aware about the event and instructed the officials of different Departments to saturate the beneficiary-oriented schemes.
All the designated blocks witnessed similar camps to kickstart this nation-wide campaign with the aim of complete saturation of beneficiary oriented schemes in every nook and corner of the district. ADDC Poonch and ADC Poonch appealed for rigorous participation of general public to get maximum benefit of government schemes at a single location.
