DDC Kupwara reviews implementation of newly launched PM Vishwakarma scheme

KUPWARA: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation of newly launched PM Vishwakarma scheme.

On the occasion, General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC) Kupwara, Sameer Jan informed the chair about detailed guidelines of the PM Vishwakarma scheme.

The meeting was informed that the scheme is focused to promote and support the local artisans which include blacksmith, goldsmith, potter, carpenter, sculptor, barber, tailor, mason, washer etc, making them eligible to avail all the benefits under the scheme. The objective of the scheme is to provide skill upgradation to hone the skills of these artisans and make relevant and suitable training opportunities available to them.

The DDC impressed upon the concerned officers to make concerted efforts for identification and registration of the targeted beneficiaries under the scheme so that they can be timely benefitted.

GM-DIC, ACP, DIO, ALC, Superintendent ITI Kupwara, BDOs, LDM and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
