Emphasizes on mass awareness of schemes, financial inclusion and employment generation
KUPWARA: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, today, chaired the meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) here to review the performance of line departments and banks with regard to saturation of different government schemes in the district.
Addressing the meeting, DDC emphasized upon the officers of line departments and bankers for financial inclusion and saturation of various centrally sponsored schemes so that the people especially marginalized sections of the community get benefited at large.
The DDC directed all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with greater coordination and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets of financial inclusion, besides, generation of employment for unemployed youth of the district.
She further directed banks for early disposal of financial assistance cases, and instructed line departments to sponsor cases to respective bank branches strictly as per service area, within the stipulated time frame.
The DDC stressed the need for grassroots awareness of financial and social security schemes sponsored by the Government, and directed the departments to hold awareness camps for the people.
While highlighting the overall performance for FY 2024-25 under annual district credit plan, Lead District Manager, Kupwara, Tariq Ahmad Jan informed the house that achievements under ACP 2024-25 for the district stood at Rs.1850 Crores till the end of third quarter which constitutes 112.98% against target of Rs.1637 Crores.
The achievements under priority sector advances were to the tune of Rs.803 Crores against target of Rs.1411 Crore for ACP 2024-25 which constitutes 56.91% while as under non-priority sector the achievements are to the tune of Rs.1046.86 Crores against target of Rs.226 Crores which constitutes 463%.
Rs.166.38 crore have been disbursed by the banks amongst 10021 beneficiaries
It was also informed that Rs.6100 lakh were disbursed under PMEGP scheme against 1125 cases up to 31.12.2024.
The Potential Linked Credit Plan was also launched in the meeting.
Officers from line departments, representatives from different banks and other concerned were present in the meeting.
