DDC Kulgam reviews implementation of self-employment schemes

KULGAM: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today convened a meeting to review the implementation of different schemes, with special focus on self-employment generation programmes.

During the meeting, the officers from line departments briefed the chair about the status of coverage of beneficiaries under various self employment schemes of their departments.

The DC took a detailed review and cases sanctioned under Mumkin, Tejeswini, PMEGP, ISDS, IPDP, PMMSYM and other self employment oriented schemes.

It was informed that under ISDS selection of beneficiaries has been made for 90 units whereas selection of beneficiaries for 11 units of sheep under TSP has been carried out.

The chair was also informed that under Mumkin scheme 148 vehicles have been handed over to the beneficiaries involving Rs 2.19 crore subsidy amount and Rs 9.81 crore loan amount. 

Besides, 72 new cases are submitted to the concerned quarters for verification purposes.

Under Tejaswini scheme 16 cases have been disbursed involving  loan amount of Rs 80 lac.Under Spurring scheme 32 cases have been sponsored and 86 new cases have been sent to bank for pre-check.

The DC also reviewed cases sanctioned by DIC, Handloom & Handicrafts, KVIB, KVIC, Fisheries and other departments under employment generation schemes.

He stressed upon making youth self-reliant, independent and providing them with sustainable employment. 

Addressing the meeting, the DC stressed upon the officers to ensure maximum coverage of unemployed youth of the district under different self employment schemes.

He directed them to work in close coordination and help the youth in getting enrolled under various ambitious schemes.
