UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting with officers of line departments to assess the implementation of directives issued by the Chief Secretary at Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, DFO Rushal Garg, Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal and other senior officers.
The comprehensive review covered the execution and maintenance of Devika Ghat, rejuvenation of the Devika River source, Restoration works by UEED, settlement of land compensation issues in Jib and surrounding areas, high school upgradation, village rehabilitation, bridge construction, opening of J&K Bank Branch, school upgradation, forest permission for tourist taxi parking, fair price establishment, road widening, and electricity bill payments.
The DC emphasized faithful implementation of decisions of the Chief Secretary including full saturation of tap connections under the JJM Scheme by Jal Shakti Department, speedy completion of developmental projects by PWD(R&B) and maximization of enrollment and bringing down dropout rate by the Education Department.
The Principal GMC was tasked with ensuring timely services in the associated hospital, while NRLM was directed to saturate women in self-help groups for holistic development of the district.
