DC Srinagar holds Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Fakir Gujri

SRINAGAR:– Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today undertook an extensive tour of remote/hilly area of Fakir Gujri in Harwan Panchayat Block of District and presided over a Public Grievance Redressal Camp under weekly Block Diwas. 

Besides members of local people, DDC and PRI members, the Grievance Redressal Camp was attended by General Manager DIC, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Tehsildar North, BDO Harwan, Executive Engineer PDD, District Lead Manager and other sectoral/zonal officers of the District. 

On the occasion, PRI representatives, Public delegations and scores of individuals projected various issues and demands before the DC including upgradation of PHC & Middle School, augmentation of Tulpathri water supply, timely sanction of PMAY cases, macadamization of Fakir Gujri-Nagbal Road, upgradation of Astanmarg Road of insurance claims of local farmers and other issues. 

After giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the Deputy Commissioner sought on the spot response from the concerned District Officers present during the Grievance Redressal Camp and assured the people of Fakir Gujri and other areas of Harwan Block that all genuine demands and issues projected by them will be addressed on priority. He also gave on the spot directions to the concerned officers for time bound redressal of the public issues. 

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner urged the local youth to avail benefit from schemes of Agriculture, Horticulture and Government self-employment schemes to earn a dignified livelihood for themselves and their family. He also stressed the people to join their hands with the District Administration in eradication of drug abuse.  

On the occasion, the people of Fakir Gujri thanked the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar for fulfilling their genuine demands including improving mobile network connectivity by installation of a Mobile Tower in the area and addressing various developmental issues promised in the last Block Diwas held at Fakir Gujri. The DC announced that one more mobile tower will be installed by the BSNL to further improve connectivity for the convenience of the people particularly the students. 

During his visit to Fakir Gujri, the Deputy Commissioner Inaugurated Health Mela at PHC, Fakir Gujri under Ayushman Bhava programme aimed to achieve 100 percent saturation in coverage of all health schemes in mission mode and ensure optimum delivery of all health schemes to every intended beneficiary of the District. 

After inaugurating the free   ation, NCD Screening, wellness Sessions, process related to ABHA id creation and Ayushman Bhrat Cards. He also interacted with the pat ients and enquired about the treatment being provided to them. 

The DC also inspected Rs 3.91 crore Syedpora Darbagh water supply scheme(WSS) benefitting about 27000 souls of 57 habitations in Syedpora Darbagh, Theed-A, Theed-B, Mufti Bagh, Bargi and Gandtal of the area. He took a detailed brief from the concerned officers regarding the functioning of the WSS. 

On the occasion, the DC took onsite inspection of Rs 1.48 crore GaniMohar Road and asked the concerned executing agency to start work at the earliest so that people of the area are benefitted.

The DC was also informed that a proposal under NABARD for upgradation of  Fakir Gujri to Nagbal Road has been submitted to higher authorities. 

Meanwhile, during the Block Diwas Programme, the Deputy Commissioner Handed over sanction letters worth Rs 86 lakh to beneficiaries under the PMEGP scheme for setting income generating units in the area.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner flagged off cleanliness-cum-awareness Rally under Swachata Hi Seva Hai Campaign campaign to mobilize communities to make the District plastic free. The Rally was participated by a large number of students from different Schools.
