SHOPIAN: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting of all district officers at Mini Secretariat, here to review the progress of Jan Abhiyan campaign and Back to Village-4.
At the outset, the DC said that Jan Abhiyan is focused on good governance initiatives. He said that department-wise deliverables are to be saturated as part of Jan Abhiyan and to be completed within fixed timelines up to 26 October.
He said that saturation in public welfare schemes is an important focus area and directed the officers to ensure saturation well before the given timeframe and emphasised them for activating their field functionaries for achieving the set targets.
The DC said that various tasks assigned to each department have been issued and emphasised all the departments for achieving cent percent achievements.
He said that field functionaries will extend their full cooperation especially in conducting awareness camps, training programmes, inspection of developmental works, saturation of public welfare and self employment schemes etc.
The DC instructed officers to put all arrangements in place for effective conduct of the fourth phase of the Back to Village programme.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, General Manager,, Industries, Shopian, ACD, Shopian, CEO,DSHO, BMO, ADP and other concerned officers.
