SHOPIAN: To ward-off the grievances regarding non-accessibility of land records for the public flagged-off during public outreach camps in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today  demonstrated the application of accessing land records online, encouraging citizens to take advantage of this facility.

The revolutionary digital facility which is accessible at https://landrecords.jk.gov.in to all citizens without any human interface of local revenue officials is aimed to minimise the corruption and enhance responsiveness and transparency, said DC Shopian while appealing to the public to make use of the facility and be empowered/sensitized about their land records.

He also briefed about the benefits of online land records and steps involved in accessing land records online.

Demonstration is an effort by the DC to make massive awareness of the initiative, which is available for years now, although not been used widely by the people.

The effort is part of the government’s endeavor to promote transparency, accountability, and citizen-centric governance.
