DODA: Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh chaired an important meeting today at the DC Office Complex to review the development of power infrastructure under RDSS and solar electrification in the district.
The meeting focused on key schemes like RDSS and PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana with special emphasis on rural areas.
Directions were issued for accelerating the installation of solar systems especially in un-electrified regions. The DC appointed Executive Engineer PDD Doda as the nodal officer for solar mobilisation in tribal areas and for the installation of solar electrification in government buildings. All requirements for the successful implementation of solar systems have been targeted and are under active review.
During the meeting the progress of RDSS was also reviewed. Directions were issued to prioritize the urban feeders in Doda Town and Bhaderwah, while ensuring that rural feeders in higher reaches are covered based on climatic conditions.
The meeting also discussed the electrification of leftover areas in the District and directions were issued to concerned officials to complete the task before the upcoming winter.
Further the DC reviewed the installation and replacement of damaged electric poles and wires. He emphasized the need to speed up the installation of smart meters and electric poles under the RDSS initiative especially in the Thathri and Bhellessa areas where the installation rate is currently low.
The meeting was attended by CPO, Executive Engineer JPDCL, AEEs and other officials from the department and private vendors.
