DC reviews progress achieved under RDD Sector schemes in Rajouri district

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today took a comprehensive evaluation of the advancements achieved in the Rural Development Department (RDD) sector schemes.

The review encapsulates notable accomplishments across a spectrum of initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), Awas Plus, MGNREGA, tendering of works under District Capex Budget, ABDP and APDP, CD and panchayat, along with the construction of bunkers.

During the assessment, it came to light that all 236 projects under SSY have undergone the tendering process, with 35 of them having been allocated. In parallel, all 42 projects under ABDP have been tendered and 25 of them awarded.

Furthermore, all 23 projects under APDP have been tendered. Progressing to the District Capex budget, an impressive 97 percent of the targeted 3,834 projects have been tendered, with 600 of them having received allocation.

In a fervent pursuit of efficacy, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal issued directives to the Block Development Officers (BDOs) to closely oversee the advancement of border bunkers, ensuring timely disbursements under MGNREGA.

Additionally, he scrutinized the headway of the Awas Plus scheme and stressed on early completion of PMAY houses.  Instructions were passed to complete geo-tagging of completed houses within the next three days.

While discussing the allotment of land to landless individuals from different blocks, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the Assistant Commissioner Revenue to obtain the list submitted by BDOs from the relevant Tehsildar to guarantee a transparent and foolproof process.

With contentment evident over the commendable headway in diverse developmental undertakings, DC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, commended the dedication of all stakeholders involved. He reiterated that the administration’s unwavering resolve to the proficient execution of governmental schemes and endeavors aim at the district’s residents’ well-being.
