DC reviews physical, financial progress under HADP in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today convened a meeting of officers of line departments to review the physical and financial progress achieved under the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP).

At the outset, District Agriculture Officer Sanjay Anand provided an overview of the current status of agriculture and allied sectors under HADP. He informed that 3349 applications were received on the HADP portal, with 1187 applications under verification and 2162 applications approved by the District Level Committee (DLC).

The Chief Horticulture Officer was directed to utilize the Sudh Mahadev flowers nursery for diverse purposes, including incense stick making and flowers bouquet creation. The DC emphasized the improvement of mushroom packaging for promotion and urged enhanced expenditure under HADP.

During the meeting, the DC set specific timelines for achieving targets and instructed officers to provide regular progress reports. Emphasizing effective HADP implementation, the DC urged officers to maximize benefits for farming communities.

The proactive approach towards expedited loan sanctioning reflects a commitment to meeting farmers’ financial requirements and enhancing their well-being.
