DC reviews implementation of Border Area Development Plan in Poonch

POONCH: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal today convened a meeting to assess the progress of the Border Area Development Plan (BADP) in Poonch district. The meeting focused on the timely completion of ongoing projects and addressing pending works from previous years.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner asked the Executive Engineers to expedite the completion of works initiated before 2014-15 and ensure that ongoing projects are finalized within the stipulated time frame. He directed the Superintending Engineer to personally inspect pending works to facilitate their prompt completion.

Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the Executive Engineers to issue notices for the projects that have not yet commenced or been completed. He inquired about the physical status of ongoing projects, the number of completed schemes, and the advancements made in the current fiscal year, underscoring their significance for enhancing infrastructure and security in border areas.

The meeting aimed at reinforcing the commitment to improving living conditions and ensuring the safety of residents in border regions through effective implementation of development plans.
