DC Reasi reviews progress & initiatives of Revenue Department

REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, conducted a comprehensive review of the Revenue Department’s progress and initiatives at a meeting held in the DC office’s video conference hall, here today.

The discussion encompassed crucial areas such as the status of digitization of Jamabendies, issuance of land passbooks, PM Kissan Data re-verification, E-office implementation, eviction of encroachments over state and common land and other significant matters within the department.

Emphasizing the importance of key indicators, DC Vishesh Mahajan stressed the need for a proactive approach to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely execution of tasks. Specifically, he highlighted the pivotal role of verifying digitized Jamabendies in maintaining transparent and up-to-date land records, essential for efficient governance and land management.

The DC underscored the significance of timely delivery of online services which is crucial for the public to access essential services, benefits and government schemes seamlessly. He also emphasized the accuracy and completeness of the PM Kisan Data re-verification, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of the scheme for deserving farmers.

Addressing the transformative impact of the E-office initiative, DC Vishesh Mahajan praised its role in improving administrative efficiency, transparency, and accessibility. The initiative aligns with the district’s commitment to modernize governance, ensuring a responsive and citizen-centric administration.

Highlighting the transparent verification process for land allotment to landless beneficiaries, the

DC urged officials to expedite the process, ensuring fair and equitable distribution based on established criteria. He also stressed the need to remove encroachments over state, Kahacharie, and common land, crucial for preserving public resources, maintaining environmental balance, and upholding legal standards.

In addition, the DC conducted a thorough review of key online services, recognizing their significance in enhancing public accessibility and administrative efficiency. He commended the role of these services in simplifying processes for the public and promoting transparency, reaffirming the district’s commitment to leveraging technology for better governance. The DC encouraged the Tehsildars for continuous efforts to enhance the reliability and accessibility of these online services.
