RAJOURI: As a part of the weekly Block Diwas, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today presided over a public outreach camp at Gurdan Bala in block Rajouri to redress the public grievances at their doorsteps.
During the camp, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the locals and listened to their issues and concerns. He assured them that their problems would be addressed on a priority basis and directed the concerned officials to take necessary action. Among others, DDC member Rajouri, sain Abdul Rashid; BDC chairperson Darbar Choudahary; CPO, Mohammad Khursheed; ACP,Sheraz Chowhan; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhat; Tehsidar Rajouri, Varinder Sharma; EXEN STD Kalakote, Hasan Mohd were present on the occasion.
The camp witnessed a good turnout, with people from various parts of the block coming forward to voice their concerns. The issues raised by the locals included the macadamization of roads, upgradation of Govt. Institutions, shortage of staff and augmentation of health infrastructure,shortage of electricity poles,boundary wall of HS Gurdan Bala,dilipated conditionof MS Dhanore, compensation for the BGSBU road , non-functioning of borewell at Chawwa besides others.
The Deputy Commissioner assured time bound redressal of issues. For shortage of electricity poles, DC assured that the same would be provided under the RDSS scheme of the PDD sector. Regarding scarcity of water, he assured that all households of the district would be provided with tapped water connection with the implementation of JJM in the district. Officers from the Horticulture Department were directed to organise special camps in the area to educate the public about their schemes. Public also appreciated District Administration for taking prompt measures for the redressal of their genuine concerns in a time bound manner. Officers also educated the public about various schemes of their departments and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.
The DC appreciated the Health Department for institutional deliveries under Kaya Kalp Schemes. He also mentioned that JJM schemes are progressing well. Entrance test for EMRs Gurdhan Balla was conducted last week with massive participation of students.
EMRs would be a milestone in the development of the area. Services are being provided through online mode & efforts are being made to provide benefits of these schemes to all deserving beneficiaries. Several Connectivity projects have been completed and many are under execution. Public participation is a must in the development process. Several initiatives are being taken for the tribal people welfare, meeting paucity of staff in Government institutions and augmentation of health infrastructure etc.
