DC Rajouri discusses Action plan to enhance efficacy of Ration distribution network

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal convened a crucial meeting to formulate an action plan to enhance the efficiency of the Ration distribution network.

The focal point of discussion was the detailed reevaluation of distances, encompassing road, pony, and head load transportation, from food stores to the Fair Price Shops and sale depots in the jurisdiction of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) department.

Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal has tasked diverse road agencies with the responsibility of preparing and compiling ground-level data. This will be achieved by deploying dedicated field staff to ascertain accurate distances from Government Food stores to Fair Price Shops. The initiative stems from the recognition that many roads have undergone significant changes in nature throughout the current year, necessitating a comprehensive review of previously established distances.

The importance of this exercise lies in its potential to rectify and update distance metrics, thereby ensuring a more precise understanding of the logistical challenges faced in the distribution of essential commodities.
