DC Pulwama reviews arrangements for smooth conduct of JKSSB Constable Examination

Comprehensive measures in place to ensure fairness, transparency and adherence to SOPs

PULWAMA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom chaired a comprehensive meeting today to review the arrangements for the JKSSB-conducted recruitment examination for the post of Constable in the Home Department, scheduled for December 1, 2024.

The meeting focused on ensuring a smooth, fair, and transparent examination process.

The examination will be conducted across 30 designated centers in the district, with 9,264 applicants expected to participate. Special emphasis was laid on implementing all instructions to maintain the credibility of the competitive exam.

Vehicle requirements, deployment of magistrates and secure handling of sensitive and non-sensitive examination material have been finalized.

Examination centers, including Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) with 1,392 candidates, are equipped with CCTV cameras and Videography to ensure effective monitoring and videography of critical events to ensure adherence to SOPs and fair and transparent examinations.

The DC directed concern to make adequate heating provisions and strict frisking measures in place at all centers.

Dr. Qayoom emphasized maintaining a smooth and transparent examination environment and directed all staff to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in letter and spirit. He also called for additional manpower deployment, wherever necessary, to ensure strict implementation of guidelines.

Among others, the meeting was attended by SSP Pulwama, P.D. Nitya; ADCs of Pulwama and Tral; ASP Awantipora; magistrates; Heads of Institutions; and other officials involved in the examination process.

Dr. Qayoom reiterated that strict compliance with SOPs and collaborative efforts by all stakeholders are vital to the successful conduct of this crucial examination.
