DC Pulwama reviews arrangements for Shab-e-Meraj observance

PULWAMA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, chaired a meeting to review and ensure foolproof arrangements for the observance of Shab-e-Meraj (SAW) and Friday following.

The Deputy Commissioner directed officers to ensure the availability of essential services at shrines and prominent mosques across the district during these auspicious occasions.

The discussions centered on key areas, including the uninterrupted supply of electricity and water to shrines and mosques, the establishment of medical facilities and relief camps and the availability of essential commodities.

 Measures to streamline transportation and parking facilities were also thoroughly deliberated upon, alongside a comprehensive traffic management plan aimed at ensuring smooth vehicular movement and conducting special sanitation drives to maintain cleanliness and sanctity during events.

During the meeting Dr. Qayoom stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among all departments to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the public during the events. 

He directed officials to adopt a proactive approach to address potential challenges and deliver a well-organized and efficient system for the occasion.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pulwama and Tral, Chief Medical Officer (CMO)Pulwama along with other concerned officers.
