PULWAMA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom Tuesday chaired a Rent Assessment Committee (RAC) meeting to deliberate on cases pertaining to the revision and approval of rent for government-occupied premises.
During the meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Dr. M Ashraf Sheikh, briefed the chair about a total of 13 cases presented for consideration by the committee.
These cases pertaining to premises under the use of various departments, including the Health Department, Handloom Department, Social Welfare Department, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Animal Husbandry Department, Sheep Husbandry Department, Irrigation Department, Police and Education Department were approved by the Committee.
The meeting emphasized adhering to the requisite authorizations and certificates as per the governing circulars and orders issued by competent authorities.
Among others, the meeting was attended by representatives from the Police Department, civil officers and concerned landowners. The committee resolved several cases on priority while ensuring a fair and transparent process.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the importance of maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and ensuring that rent assessments align with official guidelines.
