DC presides over grievance redressal camp at Kulgam

KULGAM: The District Administration Kulgam today organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D.H Pora to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.

The programme witnessed overwhelming response from PRIs and general public who highlighted issues and grievances confronting their areas for early redressal.

To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Kulgam where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.

Officers from District Administration were also present during the block diwas.

People from Laroo, Yarikhah, Srandoo, Hallan, Khaloor, Parivan, Khee, Gasren, Pombay and other areas participated in this grievance redressal camp and apprised the DC about their issues and grievances.

The visiting PRIs, local delegations and others demanded augmentation of staff at health centre Parivan, development of road at Hallan, development of Gasren-Laker Pombay road and augmentation of LT power network in Brazloo Jageer besides others.

Officers on the spot responded to the queries and demands of people pertaining to their departments.

The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on spot and issues required to be redressed at higher level, were also noted.

Earlier, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kulgam, Mohmmad Imran Khan also briefed about the action taken on various grievances and issues raised in previous Block Diwas.

During the programme people were also apprised about the process of Registration of eligible/ new voters, removal of entries of dead and permanently shifted electors, correction of errors in elector’s which is going on in the district under special summary revision 2022 and participants of the programme were urged to carry forward message among others so that eligible voters can get registered.

Participants during block diwas were also apprised about the measures taken to contain Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) and were sensitized regarding various preventive steps to be taken for controlling the spread of this disease in their animals.

Awareness on PM- Kissan and other schemes was also held during the block divas.

Meanwhile grievances redressal camps were also held at Block D. H. Pora and Block Devsar where officers listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal.
