DC listens to people’s issues at Chack Bulanda- Kathua

KATHUA: Commissioner Kathua, Deputy Dr. Rakesh Minhas today led the Block Diwas proceedings at Chack Bulanda, Panchayat Sallan, Block Dinga Amb, engaging with local residents and officials to address their grievances and concerns.

The event was attended by CPO Kathua Ranjit Thakur, Chief Agriculture Officer Kathua, CMO Kathua, XEN PHE, XEN REW, CEO Kathua, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Tehsildar Dinga Amb, and various district and sectoral officers.

The local representatives highlighted several pressing demands, including flood protection infrastructure, repairing of roads, fencing of graveyards, compensation for flood-affected people and provision of drinking water supply in uncovered areas.

The DC gave a patient hearing to the public grievances and assured timely redressal. Addressing the gathering, the DC said the objective of holding Public Redressal Camps is to reach out to the people, listen to their grievances and extend arrays of services and knowledge about different government schemes at their doorsteps.

Responding to the demands of the people, the DC passed on-spot instructions to the concerned departments for time-bound resolution of all the issues. He stressed upon the officers to prioritize the grievances and ensure their timely resolution.

Later, the DC Kathua inspected the development works at Government Primary School Dhalta being executed under CAPEX.
