KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of important developmental projects in the district, including the construction of the Government Degree College (GDC) building at Frisal and the T-3 quarters at Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) at Tangmarg.
During the meeting, the DC in detail took stock of progress of ongoing construction work on the GDC building at Frisal. He instructed executing agencies to expedite the work and ensure its timely completion without compromising on quality standards.
The progress on Type-3 quarters at EMRS Tangmarg was also reviewed in detail.
The DC further reviewed the functioning of EMRS Tangmarg, emphasizing the need to ensure all necessary facilities for the students.
Additionally, the DC instructed the concerned committee to prepare and submit the requisition for furniture procurement for EMRS Tangmarg at the earliest to facilitate the smooth functioning of the institution.
Discussions were also held regarding staff outsourcing and other requirements for the EMRS School to enhance its overall operational efficiency.
The meeting was attended by the ADDC, Bashir Ahmad Wani; JDP, ACR, SDM, Principal GDC Frisal, CEO, Ex. Engineer R&B, officers from SICOP and other officers.
