Emphasises upon making improvements on varied developmental indicators

KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of concerned officers of line departments to review the performance of indicators under District Good Governance Index at Mini Secretariat, Kulgam.

The Good Governance Index, developed by the UT Government with the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), is based on performance under 10 Governance sectors, having 58 indicators which assesses the impact of various government interventions at district level and provides futuristic roadmap for improving district level governance and service delivery.

The DC took detailed sector/indicator wise appraisal of performance till date under broad sectors of public health, public infrastructure, agriculture, human resource development, financial inclusion, social welfare and other sectors.

Dr Bilal impressed upon all district heads to present the indicators accurately by following due process of data collection, screening and validation.

He stressed upon all about the need of improving these developmental parameters during the ensuing year by working through effective coordination with a targeted approach.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather; ADC, Vikar Ahmad Giri; ACR, GM DIC, ACD, ACP, CPO and other district officers of departments.
