DC Kulgam chairs public darbar at Qaimoo, listens public issues

KULGAM: Continuing the endeavour to reach out to people and to provide governance at their doorsteps, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today visited Qaimoo where he presided over a grievances redressal camp under weekly Block Diwas programme.

The programme witnessed overwhelming response of people from Qaimoo area, and projecting developmental needs of the area.

Delegation from these areas demanded establishment of Fire station at Qaimoo, establishment of degree college, desilting of Nallah at Qaimoo, construction of bypass from Khudwani to Mutalhama, upgradation of Girls High School, playground at Qaimoo, installation of street lights from Qaimoo to Khudwani, borewell at Oudipora, augmentation of teaching staff at HSS Hawoora and various other demands, besides flagging-off issues and grievances.

All the issues were listened to by the DC and some of the issues of immediate nature were redressed on the spot, while other issues and demands were noted for further action.

While responding to the grievance of unscheduled power cuts in the area, the DC directed the concerned to ensure smooth power supply in the area.

Others who were present in the grievance camp included ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, JDP, ACD, ACR, ACP, CMO, Ex. Engineers, Tehsildar and other officers.
