KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan today conducted a comprehensive review of key Performance Indicators of the health sector in the district.
During the review meeting, the DC assessed the progress of general developmental schemes within the health sector, along with the status of various beneficiary-oriented initiatives.
The schemes reviewed included ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account), institutional deliveries, sex ratio at birth, low birth weight in newborns, Janani Suraksha Yojana, and Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram.
In addition, the DC emphasized the ongoing efforts to make Kishtwar tuberculosis (TB)-free district within the next year, the implementation of the Anemia Mukt Bharat scheme, and the operational status of Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the region.
He also stressed the coordination between ASHA workers and VLEs to achieve 100% implementation of ABHA ID creation in the district.
The DC directed the concerned authorities to expedite the ongoing health programs and ensure better awareness and outreach to the public, particularly in rural and remote areas, to improve health outcomes.
The DC also reviewed the ongoing District Capex works of the health department including NTPHC Drabshalla, NTPHC Gulabgarh, NTPHC Sarthal, NTPHC Sohal, Sub Centre Udil Gojran and others.
The meeting was attended by CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali, CMO Kishtwar/DTO Kishtwar Dr. Rajinder Kumar, all BMOs, Incharge DH Kishtwar, as well as representatives from DTC Kishtwar, in charge DH Kishtwar and other health department staff.
