Listens to grievances of people; takes appraisal of held up road projects
KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav chaired the Weekly Block Diwas programme Panchayt Ghar Pochhal A2 of Block Kishtwar. He listened to the grievances of the people and assured time bound redressal.
He was accompanied by ACP Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani, Tehsildar Kishtwar Muneeb Umar,, ExEn PWD Ravinder Kumar, BDO Kishtwar, Sumit Singh, AEE PWD & PHE besides field functionaries of various line departments.
Local PRIs and the public of the panchayat Pochhal A2 and adjoining areas projected different demands and sought immediate redressal of the same.
Several issues were raised during the camp, including the construction of the road from Duga to Dewaroo, eviction of illegal encroachments on Camp ground Pochhal, completion of road to SC Basti and the provision of drainage to Machgardi and Narayangardi.
Responding to different demands, he directed the Tehsildar Kishtwar to resolve the issues hampering the completion of SC Basti road by engaging with the landowner(s) and the Public Works Department (PWD).
The DC further instructed to concerned departments to assess the feasibility of construction of a road from Campground to Forest area as demanded by the people.
Furthermore, he announced that the up-gradation of the Government High School to Higher Secondary level would be taken up with the CEO Kishtwar for consideration and action.
The PHE authorities were directed to rationalize tap water connections in the area, snap illegal water connections within a week.
During the visit to the upgraded PHC Pochhal, DC Kishtwar inspected the medical facilities, including medicine availability and staff attendance. He also took note of the power backup facility, water supply, and the construction of the approach road to the Health Centre, emphasizing their prompt resolution.
Later, the DC visited adjoining Panchayat Pochal A1, where he inspected the ongoing work on the Waste Segregation Plant. He urged the executing agencies to expedite the pace of work for timely completion.
He also inspected othe Hatta-Giri Nagar Road and Kishtwar Town- Lanyal link road and interacted with the local residents and landowners and listened to their grievances.
