DC Kishtwar flags off First Batch of Hajj Pilgrims to Srinagar

KISHTWAR:  Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav, today flagged off the first batch of 28 Hajj pilgrims to Srinagar here in the presence of Administrator J&K Waqf Board Kishtwar, Zakir Hussain Wani, Imam Markazi Masjid Kishtwar,Farooq Ahmed Kichloo, CMO Kishtwar, Dr. M.Y. Mir, and other civil society members.

The group comprises 20 men and 8 women, who departed from the Islamia Faridia College of Education and Research Institute of the district Kishtwar.

The DC congratulated the Hajj pilgrims for getting the opportunity to embark on this sacred journey. He extended his best wishes for their safe and secure pilgrimage and earnestly appealed to them to pray for the peace and prosperity of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Furthermore, the DC emphasized the utmost importance of adhering to the guidelines and protocols established by the Government of India and the Saudi Arabian authorities. He urged the pilgrims to strictly observe all health and safety measures to safeguard themselves from any untoward incidents.
