DC Kishtwar finalises arrangement for Holy month of Ramadan

KISHTWAR: To finalise the arrangements for ensuing Holy month of Ramadan, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today chaired a meeting of concerned officers of service delivery Departments, Iman Jamia Masjid (Majlis-e-Shourah) besides religious  representatives, here in his Office Chamber.

ADC Kishori Lal Sharma, ASP, Rajinder Singh, ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak, CAHO Dr. Sanjay Sen, AD FCS&CA, Shafqat Keen, Tehsildar, Muneeb Umar, AEEs of Jal Shakti besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.

The representatives of religious, social organizations requested for uninterrupted water and power supply, security arrangements, sanitation and check on quality and rates of essential commodities during the Holy month.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of all concerned departments to work in a synergized manner for the convenience of the common people.

Stressing on the need of uninterrupted power and water supply particularly in the morning and night hours across the district, DC directed AEE JPDCL and EXEN Jal Shakti to take adequate measures in this regard. Jal Shakti Department was instructed to complete the desilting in all the water reservoirs by week’s time and ensure the leakage of pipelines is repaired.

He further directed the concerned heads of public service departments to ensure availability of essential commodities on prescribed rates.

AD, FCS&CA was directed to ensure adequate availability of food stock and LPG in the district so that the public may not face any shortage during the holy month.

Emphasizing the cleanliness/sanitation, the DC instructed the Executive Officer, Municipality Kishtwar and all BDOs to launch cleanliness drives around religious places in the town and rural areas.

DC directed Tehsildar Kishtwar, SHO, TSO, Legal Metrology to constitute joint teams and checking squads and intensify market checking and take strict action against the hoarders and black marketers.

ACR and his team were directed to conduct meeting and fix the rates of Mutton, Chicken, fruits and Vegetables.

DC further impressed upon the officers of Police and Traffic Department to ensure the effective traffic Management in the township.

All the Rhedis and unauthorised stalls to be removed by Tehsildar Kishtwar within next 3 days, the DC directed.
