DC Kathua reviews progress of works under district capex-2023-24, developmental deliverables

Presses for early completion of allotted works, saturation of all identified deliverables

KATHUA: District Development Commissioner Kathua, Rakesh Minhas, today chaired a meeting of the District officers to review the physical and financial progress achieved under District Capex Budget 2023-2024 here at the conference hall of the DC office here.

ADDC, Ankur Mahajan, CPO Ranjit Thakur, ACD Kishore Singh Katoch, XEN REW, XEN PMGSY, XEN Irrigation, besides other District officers attended the meeting.

At the very outset, ADDC, Ankur Mahajan apprised the DC about the physical and financial progress of different projects taken up under the district Capex budget.

ADDC further apprised the DC that there are total 20 projects under Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) and out of which 16 are nearing completion and in Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme (APDP) there are total 47 RDD works out of which 10 are completed.

DC took in depth review of all the projects taken up by each executing agency and directed them to pace up the remaining work so that all the works allotted shall be completed before the timeline.

Terming the role of all the departments more important, the DC said that all development projects taken up under CAPEX need concerted efforts from the concerned departments and special attention to pay at ground level by way of timely completion of target works.

While laying stress on quality assets creation, the DC directed executing agencies to oversee the progress by visiting the sites regularly to ensure the quality of works shall not be compromised.

The DC further directed all the district officers to adhere to the timelines so that no liabilities shall be carried forward to the next financial year.

Later DC Kathua convened a meeting of the officers of different departments to review the action taken on developmental deliverables for the current fiscal.

The DC took a comprehensive review of all the Departments regarding realisation of deliverables and directed the officers to focus on adherence to the timeline set by the government.

The DC underscored the importance of working on the identified deliverables concerning the respective departments with an optimistic approach keeping in view sustainable and holistic development of the district.

While discussing key deliverables of different departments, the DC stressed on the need of concerted efforts of all departments to further improve the Ranking of District on the performance index.

The DC further directed the designated Nodal Officers to take regular review of the performance of identified deliverables besides projecting the achievements made at District level and set milestones for constant appraisal of targets.
