DODA: To boost sports facilities and improve infrastructure in educational institutions, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, conducted an inspection at Government Middle School Doda today.

The visit focused on assessing the progress of the new volleyball court, as well as ongoing renovation and drainage works near the school premises.

Accompanied by Chief Education Officer P.L. Thapa and District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Sunil Kumar and other concerned officials, the DC reviewed the quality and pace of the work. Discussions were held regarding the need for durable sports facilities that would encourage students to engage in physical activities and enhance their overall development.

During the visit, the DC emphasized the importance of timely completion of the volleyball court to ensure students have access to quality sports facilities. He directed the officials to maintain high standards of construction and safety, underscoring that these facilities should be designed to withstand regular use and serve students for years to come. Additionally, he pointed out the necessity of proper drainage to prevent waterlogging, which could otherwise disrupt both the playground and surrounding school areas.

The DC also interacted with students, encouraging them to participate actively in sports and utilize the facilities once completed. He highlighted the role of sports in building discipline, teamwork, and resilience. The students expressed enthusiasm for the new court and shared their aspirations with the Deputy Commissioner, who assured them of continued support in enhancing school infrastructure and promoting a balanced focus on academics and physical fitness.
