Conducts comprehensive evaluation of sanitation, drainage system and developmental initiatives
KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav today spearheaded an inspection of Kishtwar town to evaluate the public utility services.
He was accompanied by Tehsildar , Muneeb Umar, DIO, Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, EO, Municipal Council, Ninad Sen, AEE, PDD Sudheer Sharma and the officials from Municipal Council, Jal Shakti and PDD.
The inspection encompassed areas such as the market area, Main Bus Stand, Hargadi site where the DC assessed the status of basic amenities, sanitation, drainage, beautification initiatives, public toilets, waste management systems, and garbage disposal mechanisms .
A rigorous assessment of drainage networks was conducted to ensure efficiency, identifying and mitigating blockages to prevent water logging and potential hazards.
Emphasizing the enhancement of the visual appeal of public spaces, the Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers to create an inviting urban environment including the provision of parking spaces, beautification of public places etc.
Conducting a thorough inspection of roads to identify and address issues such as potholes, damaged surfaces, and ensuring proper road signage for safe and seamless navigation, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar issued necessary directions.
While evaluating the maintenance of water supply infrastructure to safeguard against contamination and road damages, the DC directed the Jal Shakti Department to address leakages and reinforce maintenance.
The DC also engaged with local residents to gather feedback, understand concerns, and reinforce collaborative efforts towards enhancing basic amenities and civic infrastructure.
Immediate directives were issued, highlighting the commitment to rectify existing issues and further fortifying the town’s infrastructure.
Dr. Devansh Yadav underscored the importance of proactive measures in maintaining a high standard of living and emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts in realizing this vision.
