DC inaugurates Panchayat-Level awareness campaign ‘Udhyam Jagriti’ at Chenani

UDHAMPUR: The Directorate of Employment, in collaboration with the District Administration Udhampur, organized Panchayat-level Mission Yuva awareness campaign -Udhyam Jagriti and Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur” camp at Panchayat Chenani.

Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai was the Chief Guest, who formally inaugurated the campaign.

In her address, the DC emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship in empowering youth and boosting economic development. She encouraged participants to take full advantage of the schemes and resources provided by the government under Mission Yuva.

The event witnessed the active participation of locals, District Development Council members of Chenani and Narsoo.

 Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr Ranjit Singh Kotwal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gurdev Kumar and other officers of line departments addressed the grievances of the people.

Earlier, AD Employment, Priyanka Gupta provided detailed insights into the objectives of Mission Yuva, highlighting its role in fostering entrepreneurship. The session also included an overview of inspiring success stories and the challenges faced by budding entrepreneurs, which served as motivation for the participants.

As part of the event, participants were registered and signed up on the Skill India app to facilitate their access to various skill development opportunities. The campaign also featured interactive sessions to address queries and provide on-the-spot assistance. During the campaign, the Local youth were briefed on the significance of entrepreneurship, emphasizing its role in innovation, job creation, and economic growth. They were also made aware of common challenges faced by entrepreneurs, such as financial constraints, market competition etc.
