DODA: Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh today chaired a meeting to assess the progress of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) [PMAY (U)] in the urban areas of the Doda district.
The meeting, held in the mini hall of the DC office complex, focused on installment disbursement status, allotted houses pending construction, pending bills, deletion of ineligible beneficiaries, and new beneficiary demands.
The Deputy Commissioner engaged in a detailed discussion with stakeholders from Municipal Authorities and CLTC expert Bhaderwah planning area.
The conversation delved into the implementation of PMAY (U) in urban areas, addressing issues such as the selection, rejection, and status of non-started houses. The DC outlined parameters and requirements essential for the selection and rejection process of PMAY urban houses beneficiaries.
The meeting, attended by executive officers from Doda, Bhaderwah, and Thathri, as well as CLTC expert Bhaderwah planning area, saw the DC directing concerned officers to form a committee headed by ADC Bhaderwah, overseeing all activities and preparations related to PMAY urban beneficiaries. The DC emphasized the need for videography to document the execution status of all works concerning PMAY urban houses. Furthermore, a follow-up meeting was scheduled to scrutinize the actual facts hindering progress.
In the course of the meeting, it was revealed that a total of 2,219 houses under PMAY Urban were sanctioned, out of which 508 beneficiaries have completed their houses, and 1063 houses are at different stages of completion.
