DODA: Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh today reviewed the functioning of Revenue, Rural Development departments here in two separate meetings held in the conference hall of the DC office complex.
Chairing a meeting of Revenue Department officials, he assessed the progress achieved in the digitization of land records, scanning, and digitization of massavi in different areas, as well as the reconstruction of damaged massavi. The meeting also addressed issues such as land acquisition for National Highways, mutation pendency, online services, construction of patwarkhana and tehsil offices, domicile certificate status, and eviction of encroachment on forest and state lands.
Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh issued several directives in the meeting. He instructed the ACR to constitute an expert team of patwaris for massavi recreation.
The DC asked for meticulous verification and identification process for issuing domicile certificates. Furthermore, he directed ACR and tehsildars to resolve all revenue-related cases pending from the past five years within one month. The meeting concluded with strict directives regarding encroachment, instructing officers to remove structures on government land and ensure proper fencing for all state-owned lands.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner presided over a crucial meeting to address key issues regarding the developmental activities in Rural areas. The meeting focused on fund expenditure in the blocks and status of the projects taken up under different schemes. The DC directed the ACD Doda to form a committee to ensure proper utilization of funds.
A significant portion of the meeting focused on the execution of works in the education sector. Block-wise assessment and expenditures related to education sector projects was reviewed. The ACD provided a comprehensive overview of expenditure status across various sectors, urging BDOs to accelerate execution works without delay.
The meeting delved into repair and renovation works, particularly addressing damage to old government buildings. The status of projects under schemes like MNREGA, PMAY, and Amrit Sarovar was meticulously reviewed. The DC emphasized the timely payment of wages, discussed Aadhar card seeding, and directed officers to resolve PMAY scheme cases promptly. The meeting also touched upon job card issues and progress under the Unnati project.
In a separate segment, the DC highlighted the importance of proper assessment for material procurement and discussed the target status for Amrit Sarovar projects. Land-related issues for Amrit Sarovar construction were addressed, with instructions given to inform the concerned tehsildar for land provision. The meeting concluded with a review of physical and financial progress across various works under RDD.
The meeting covered progress and challenges under the District Capex Budget, MGNREGA, PMAY-G, Unnati project with RSETI, Amritsarovars, CD&PYT, ABDP/APDP, tribal development, SBM, door-to-door collection, PM Vishwakarma, and MPLAD. These discussions aimed at ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the district’s development landscape and addressing issues for effective implementation of various projects.
The meeting was attended by ACD Doda Phulial Singh, DPO/Incharge DIO Doda Suraj Singh, BDOs and representatives of concerned departments.
