Interacts with beneficiaries, appellants
DODA: Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan, chaired a meeting of the District Level Appellate Committee members for the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY) Gramin. A virtual interaction was also held with PMAY (G) beneficiaries and appellants to listen to their grievances.
The Committee accepted the recommendations of Block and Panchayat level verification committees to delete 2372 ineligible cases from the permanent wait list of 21421 beneficiaries under PMAY (G) in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to check and verify all cases properly for sanctioning, strictly following PMAY (G) guidelines. He directed that all those who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria for benefits under the scheme be excluded.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner complimented the entire team of the Rural Development Department in Doda for achieving 92% of their targets in the last financial year 2022-23.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Doda Pran Singh; Assistant Commissioner Doda, Phulail Singh; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Ashfaq Khanji, BDOs and other concerned officers.
