DC distributes School Bags, educational items to Girl Child at Gurez

BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad today distributed school bags and other essential educational items to girl children at Gurez under Civil Action Program of the District Police Bandipora, which aims to foster community development and social welfare.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora, Lakshay Sharma was also present on the occasion.

The event witnessed DC Bandipora and SSP Bandipora personally hand out school bags, stationery supplies, and other educational materials to numerous deserving girl students from various schools. The program specifically focused on empowering girls and ensuring that they have the necessary resources to pursue their education with confidence and enthusiasm.

Speaking at the occasion, the DC expressed his delight in being part of such a meaningful endeavor. He emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future of the young generation and acknowledged the significant role that girls play in society.

He further reiterated the commitment of the district administration to promote equal opportunities for all children, irrespective of their gender.
