As many as 23 reputed private companies with more than 250 job vacancies participated in the job fair. Additionally, many government departments, which implement various self-employment schemes, had also set up kiosks for the demonstration of their schemes.

The companies on the occasion shortlisted 385 job seekers for the second round on the basis of merit, eligibility and requirement.

During the day-long event 327 offline registrations were also done and 187 candidates were registered for skill development courses.

The DDC interacted with the representatives of various job providing companies.

During interaction with various stakeholders, the DDC Budgam highlighted the importance of skill training for employability.

As youth and their employment is the foremost priority of the government, the DDC Budgam emphasised the holding of more such events in the future as these events catalyse both traditional and self employment through capacity building, skill development and information about opportunities in government schemes.

He further added that such job fairs bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, providing an opportunity for aspiring individuals to secure gainful employment.
