DC Budgam conducts review of Health, Social Welfare & schemes of Education Sector

BUDGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of various Health, social welfare and schemes of Education sector. 

The review was aimed at evaluating the implementation status of these initiatives to enhance educational infrastructure, health services, and social security support for District Budgam.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed drinking Water facility in schools , status of toilet facilities for boys and girls in schools, status of electricity provisions across the schools of district and the status of overall infrastructure in the district.

He emphasised on 100% distribution of pre-matric scholarship for ST Students in order to encourage school attendance and reduce dropout rates.

Health and Social Welfare schemes were also discussed during the meeting. The DC said there should be awareness and promotion of safe institutional deliveries for better maternal and child health outcomes. 

For ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) creation, progress on the generation of ABHA accounts for universal health coverage was assessed by DC.

Further both Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakaram (JSSK) and Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) were reviewed in the meeting.

The DC also reviewed pension disbursement under the National Social Assistance Program (NSAP) and the Integrated Social Security Scheme (ISSS). State Marriage Assistance scheme was also discussed where in he directed the concerned officers for ensuring 100% assistance to the eligible beneficiaries.

The DC emphasized the importance of ensuring these schemes reach their intended beneficiaries effectively and instructed the concerned departments to expedite their efforts for better coverage and quality service delivery. 

He also highlighted the need for consistent monitoring and grievance redressal mechanisms to resolve any challenges faced by beneficiaries.

The meeting was attended by CPO, CEO, CMO, DSWO Budgam and all the other concerned officials.
