CUK’s commerce deptt holds lecture on CMA course

GANDERBAL: Department of Commerce, School of Business Studies, Central University of Kashmir (CUK), organized a special lecture on the “Certified Management Accountant (CMA)” course for the students and faculty by CMA, Bashir Masudi, at Green Campus here on Thursday.

The lecture aimed to give students valuable insights into the cost and management accounting course, and the event catalyzed those considering the CMA certification as a career path.

In his speech, Head Deptt of Commerce, Dr. Mehraj ud din Shah, highlighted the importance of professional courses in Commerce and focused on creating a positive attitude among the students of Commerce regarding these demanding courses by providing appropriate and timely awareness. He added that the event’s primary objective was to familiarize students with the CMA course, its significance in the business world, and the career opportunities it offers.

The guest speaker, Bashir Masudi, first CMA of the Valley, having a successful track record in academia and industry shared his views about the subject. The lecture was highly interactive, allowing students to ask questions and engage in discussions. The session facilitated a better understanding of the CMA course and its practical applications.

Students found the Q&A session beneficial, as it addressed their queries and concerns about pursuing a CMA designation. The event added value to the academic experience and inspired students to consider the CMA course a viable and rewarding option in Commerce and finance.
