KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today convened a meeting of the District Level Committee regarding Change of Land Use (CLU) cases in the district.
At the outset, detailed discussion was held regarding comments submitted by various departments for the issuance of NOCs of pending cases of CLU in the district.
As many as 16 cases were put up for discussion; after thorough deliberation on various aspects of the policy, 3 cases were approved by the committee, 1 was rejected and 12 cases were reverted to applicants to get some observations cleared.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to submit quality comments/concrete NOCs within stipulated time as per the provisions of PSGA Act to ensure timely disposal of CLU.
The Deputy Commissioner on the occasion emphasized that since CLU cases involve comments from various departments, there is an increased need for inter departmental coordination. She directed the officers to stick to the deadlines and conduct the joint site inspections of the cases.
The meeting was attended by ACR Kupwara, SE R&B, CEO LBDDA, Chief Agriculture Officer, EOs of MC Kupwara & Handwara and other concerned officers.
