SRINAGAR: The group of candidates on Saturday have appealed chairman Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) to ensure rule of reserve list is implemented in the recently declared results of the Combined Competitive Service Examination for JKAS.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the results of the examination were declared Jan 19 this year. The candidates have appealed JKPSC chairman to review the process. As per rule, of Reserve List under S.O 61, Section 7, Clause ii), the commission has to maintain the reserve list. However, the number of candidates called for the medical examination by the commission should have been proportionately less than the number of advertised vacancies.
The candidates said it appears that this rule has not been allowed and apparently list issued by the commission appears to be final which doesn’t go by the provisions of the rule.
According to the rules, the mechanism of reserve list operation is different than the waiting list. The candidates appealed to the chairman “for more consideration and clarity of the rule”.
They appealed chairman JKPSC to review the process and ensure the rule of the reserve list is being followed.
