AMRITSAR: The Border Security Force seized over 6kg narcotics hidden in a battery near the International Border in Gurdaspur sector on Tuesday evening.
Based on specific information regarding the presence of a concealed consignment of narcotics ahead of the border fence, a search operation was conducted by BSF troops near Dostpur village, a BSF officer said.
During the search, troops found six packets of narcotics, suspected to be heroin weighing 6.3kg, and one packet of suspected opium weighing 70gm, concealed in a 12-volt battery, he added.
