RAMBAN: Dawat-e-Iftar party was hosted by the Indian army at Army camp, Banihal, for local representatives of Banihal town to mark Ramzan celebration besides the message of peace and prosperity.
More than 120 persons including representatives from civil administration, J&K Police, J&K Traffic Police, Vyapar mandal, Public representatives, school & colleges, prominent Masjids, community and religious leaders, other security forces, and media persons attended the event making the occasion a grand success.
The event was conducted with an Iftar party followed by Namaz under an Imam and dinner with the delicacies specially prepared for the occasion.
The locals and community leaders expressed that such events would improve communal harmony in the town and that locals and the Indian Army work together for the betterment of society and the UT.
