84 Panchayats covered in phase Ist, 94 in 2nd phase

KULGAM: The phase fifth of Back to Village (B2V-5) programme concluded today with active participation and interaction between Prabhari Officers and the public at Kulgam.

During the outreach programme, all the 178 panchayats of the district were covered under two phases and the programme witnessed participation of PRIs and public in large. Under the first phase 84 panchayats were covered and in the second phase 94 panchayats were covered.

Today on the fourth day of the programme, Prabhari Officers including Director Education, Tassaduq Hussain Mir; Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, G.N.Itoo; Director Floriculture Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad Rather; Director RDD, Shabir Hussain Bhat and other Prabhari officers remained available in their designated Panchayats and listened to the aspirations of the people and took feedback to ensure effective implementation of developmental schemes.

During the programme, Visiting Officers held scores of Gram Sabhas and informed people about the centrally sponsored and UT-run schemes for the welfare of the general public.

Prabhari Officers in all the panchayats interacted with the public and undertook review of previous and current year deliverables with special focus on improving e-services penetration and user experience for greater accessibility.

They also inspected various government offices and establishments and took first hand appraisal of availability of facilities and functioning of these institutions.

Several developmental projects were also dedicated to Public which were inaugurated by these Prabhari Officers.

Throughout the programme, Prabhari Officers also reviewed implementation status of schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission, MGNREGA, PMAY-G, APY, Pension schemes, rejuvenation and restoration of water bodies etc and emphasised upon the saturation of KCC, ABHA cards, golden cards, land passbooks etc.

Awareness sessions on various self employment and other welfare schemes were also held.

Exciting cultural and sports events were also organised showcasing talent and promoting a spirit of unity.
