UDHAMPUR: In continuation of its illustrious tradition, the Border Security Force recently organised an attestation cum passing out parade for 147 newly trained recruit constables (Trademan) from different states across the country.
The ceremony was held at the Parade Ground of STC BSF to mark the completion of their 44-week long basic training program. During the parade, the constables took an oath to serve the nation and then departed for their respective duty stations.
Dinesh Kumar Boora, IG, Frontier HQ BSF Jammu was the chief guest of the attestation cum passing out parade and took the salute.
The chief guest appreciated the standard of the training imparted to the recruits and congratulated the officers and dedicated team of instructors of STC BSF, Udhampur for this purpose.
Recruit Constable, Harsh Sharma commanded the parade as Parade Commander. The five recruits were awarded with trophies who excelled in different fields during their basic training are R/CT Harsh Sharma, Overall 1st position, R/CT Md. Arif Ansari, overall 2nd position, R/CT Harsh Sharma, Best in Drill ( Parade Commander), R/CT Patil Valmik Saheb Rao, Best Firer and R/CT Sawant Bhavesh Anil, best in endurance.
During the event, Commandant (TRG) Varinder Datta welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries. In his address to the newly trained recruit Constables, the chief guest expressed his belief that they will discharge their duties with honesty and efficiency in the future. He wished them a bright future and expressed confidence that they would bring pride to the BSF and their parents through their service.
A team from Central Bureau of Communication Jammu presented mesmerizing cultural programme followed by famous Bihu Dance of Assam State by the trainees of the centre.
The event was attended by Chairperson DDC Udhampur, Lal Chand; Vice Chairperson, DDC Udhampur, Juhi Manhas Pathania; SSP Udhampur, Dr Vinod Kumar; senior officials of district administration officers from various CAPFs, school teachers, renowned locals and family members of the recruits.
