Advisor Bhatnagar visits Doodhpathri, other areas of Budgam district

BUDGAM: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today visited several areas of Budgam district and took onspot assessment of various ongoing works as well as developmental scenario of these areas.

During the visit, Advisor Bhatnagar inspected the offtake of Raiyar Canal Interacting with the officers of Jal Shakti during the visit, Advisor impressed upon them to constantly monitor this important canal During the visit, the Advisor was informed that the canal provides irrigation facilities to the villages of Raiyar A and Raiyar B of Khansahib and benefits a population of around 16000 souls in Khansahib. The Advisor was also informed that a proposal has been submitted for upgradation and strengthening of the canal.

Meanwhile, Advisor Bhatnagar also visited the famous tourist destination Dodhpathri and took review of the infrastructure and other amenities established at this famous tourist place.

During the visit, the Advisor took detailed tour of the area and interacted with service providers as well as locals of the area.

Interacting with the officers during the visit, Advisor Bhatnagar asked them to strengthen the infrastructure connectivity in the area so that maximum tourists are attracted to this place. He also asked them to increase the bed capacity for night stays as well as other related infrastructure so that the tourists have a pleasant memorable experience Taking stock of other facilities at Dodhpathri, Advisor Bhatnagar delved upon the officers to explore the possibilities of establishing the Helipad in the area as the destination is difficult to access during the winter months. Later on, Advisor Bhatnagar paid a visit to Sub-District Hospital Khansahib and took stock of medical facilities and infrastructure available at the hospital.

On the occasion, the Advisor While interacting with the doctors and paramedical staffAdvisor Bhatnagar asked them to provide the best possible medical care to the people as the government is constantly upgrading the medical care facilities across Jammu and Kashmir. He also asked them to keep all necessary medicines and other required equipments available at the hospital The Advisor also took stock of works on the new SDH building under construction during the visit. He delved upon the officers of executing agencies to expedite the pace of work so that the building can be dedicated for public use.
