ADDC Pulwama presides over Block Diwas at Drubgam

PULWAMA: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Pulwama, Dr Sheikh Abdul Aziz today presided over the Block Diwas function at Drubgam, here.

Addressing the function, the ADDC asked officers to play a proactive role in resolving the developmental issues of the people adding that the Government is committed to ensure equitable development of all segments of the people especially far-off areas.

The ADDC directed the concerned executing agencies of Roads and other developmental projects to redouble their efforts and ensure completion of all ongoing projects within the targeted period keeping in view the limited working season of the area.

Referring to drug menace, the ADDC asked concerned officers to initiate a mass awareness campaign against the ill effects of the drugs.

DDC, Member, PRIs, Aquaf Committee Members and locals put forth their issues and demands. They demanded construction of satellite fruit market at Pachhar, Nayabat and SDM office, playground/ stadium, Post Office, allopathic PHC, Requirement of Ambulance, widening and blacktopping of major and link roads, transportation facility, timber sale depot, and other several issues related to water, power supply, road connectivity, etc.

After listening to issues raised at the function, the ADDC passed on spot directions to the concerned officers for timely disposal of the same.

Among others the block diwas was attended by DDC Member, Javaid Rahim Bhat, PRIs, ACD, Dr Peerzada Farhat, BDO Shadimarg Tawqeer Ahmad, officials from line departments besides senior citizens of Drubgam and adjoining areas.
